I don’t really know the history behind this Korean shaved ice dessert, but I’ve got to say that I’ve tried one, and it’s freaking amazing. I love how Asian food can all be so different but similar in the same way. In the Chinese culture, we also have shaved ice, but it’s topped with just fruits and red bean. But from the Korean one, it’s the first time I’ve seen it topped with mochi balls! I think everyone should try to find a place with these yummy shaved ice and try it. I know red bean with icy sounds a bit iffy, but seriously, it’s an amazing dessert especially on a hot day!
