If you guys ever go to Brentwood in the east bay, you should eat here! I’ve been eating here ever since it opened, and it’s my favorite vietnamese restaurant. We became friends with the owner, and he always gives us free dishes that aren’t even on the menu. One time he made us a dish with raw beef and it was hella good! I would type the vietnamese name for it, but I can’t even pronounce it. The other time he made me a special fried rice that he makes for his kids. It’s different from regular fried rice, but I couldn’t figure out his secret ingredients.
Other than that, the only dishes I order there are the vietnamese egg rolls, vermicelli, or pho with brisket and flank. I personally like their egg rollls better than lumpia.. =d. But yea they’re pho is hella good, n they taught me how to make a sauce out of the plum and saracha sauce for the meat. Overall, it’s a great restaurant and they are very hospitable. They’re food is authenic, and best of all, he said, NO MSG!
