The whole flash mob was a great idea to speak out to the public about asian americans. I liked how we blended into a certain area, then we all eventually came in to dance. It was intriguing watching the faces of the standbyers because they were really shocked and thought that it was a real fight! I saw a chinese guy just reading the newspaper, and he was startled when jon and arianna started screaming.
But ya, this flash mob was a great attention grabber. We got the crowd to stop and listen to our statistics. Thanks amy for the great idea of falling to statistics like the truth commercial! I learned a lot about hate crimes and racism while looking up statistics and facts over break. I can’t believe the police doesn’t consider rape against an asian american to be a hate crime!
